BUD Easy Application is a pilot scheme launched by the Hong Kong Productivity Council on 16 June 2023, specially designed for the BUD Fund, which supports businesses in branding, upgrading, and expanding into the mainland market. BUD Easy Application aims to simplify the application process and reduce the hassle for companies. Compared to the normal BUD application, the document requirements are less, and the approval process can be completed in around 30 working days.

BUD Easy Fund can be used for a wide range of purposes.For Marketing,it covers online and offline advertising as well as participation in international exhibitions.For Tech,it can be used to develop or optimize company websites and mobile apps to enhance business digital capabilities.
In addition, BUD Easy funding can be used forproduct testing and certificationto improve product quality and competitiveness. Business can also utilize BUD Easy funds fordesign and production of promotional materialsto strengthen brand image, as well asto apply for patents, trademarks, industrial designs, utility model patents, and copyrightsto safeguard intellectual property rights and consolidate their market position.
BUD申請易資助比例為1:3，每個 Easy BUD 項目最高可獲15萬港元資助。每間企業最多可申請70個核准項目，累計最高資助額可達HK$7 million.
Note: If your application involves a 'Category (ii) project,' you may need to upload extra supporting documents when required.

請先登錄Go to the BUD Fund application website.Log in and fill in the application form. Then upload all the documents you need to provide.

The implementing agency will process the application, verify that all submitted information is complete, and confirm its accuracy.

If they need more information or have questions, you must send the extra documents within 14 days of receiving their notice.Failure to do so will result in the application being considered withdrawn.

You will be notified of your application result. If successful, you will receive an approval notice.Please follow up on the next steps as soon as possible to ensure the project proceeds without delay.

After approval, your funded project must be completed within 12 months. You also need to regularly submit project progress and financial reports to the relevant department to track your project.

Once all reports and documents have been verified, the grant will be disbursed in accordance with the scheme's requirements and actual circumstances.
Applicant companies must meet the following criteria:
A Hong Kong subsidiary can apply for the BUD Fund as long as it is not listed, has a valid Business Registration in Hong Kong, and operates a substantive business in Hong Kong. The parent company being listed does not affect eligibility.
The BUD Fund is not designed as a start up fund. While the official guidelines do not prohibit newly established companies from applying, applicants must demonstrate ongoing business operations, such as turnover and project scale. For new companies, approval will depend on whether the proposed project is reasonable and aligned with the company’s existing business foundation. OneSEC therefore recommends that companies establish a basic operational foundation before applying for BUD funding.
A company may apply for funding for a new project. However, it must clearly declare in the application form the progress of any existing funded projects and any other applications currently under review. Please note that the performance and implementation status of existing projects may affect the approval of the new application.
