The BUD Fund — “Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales” — is designed to help Hong Kong enterprises strengthen their brand presence, optimise internal operations, drive business upgrading and transformation, and expand into Mainland China and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) markets.

Funding Ratio
The Government will provide funding of up to 25% of the total approved project cost. The enterprise must contribute at least 75% of the total approved project cost in cash.

Funding Cap
Each company can receive up to HK$7 million in total funding across all BUD schemes (General Application, Easy BUD, and E-commerce Easy).

Supporting the development of branding strategies, including brand positioning, brand identity design, market research, and brand promotion planning
Support for product and technology upgrading, including new product development, adoption of new technologies, enhancement of management systems, and the implementation of production automation
Support for expanding into target markets, including market research, marketing strategy development, establishment of sales channels, and promotion of products or services.
